Der er fuld fart over administrationen i Campus Service (CAS)  på DTU som har 13.500 studerende og 6.000 ansatte, udfoldet i faciliteter på tværs af en lang række lokationer i Danmark. Vores ca. 600.000 m² dækker over en meget varieret bygningsmasse, der rummer alt fra kontorer og auditorier til state-of-the-art laboratorier. Som internationalt anerkendt eliteuniversitet skal vi selvfølgelig sikre, at vores bygninger og faciliteter er tidssvarende. Det er her du kommer på banen som Campus Service’ uundværlige administrative support, da en stabil og solid administrativ understøttelse af vores 19 sektioner er af afgørende betydning for at vi lykkes.

Du sikrer, at vi hele tiden er ’et administrativt skridt foran’, både fordi du er uovertruffen skarp til at planlægge og koordinere, men også fordi din nysgerrighed for, hvad der befinder sig rundt om næste hjørne er stor. Du kan slet ikke få armene ned over bevidstheden om, at din support gør en forskel og at du hurtigt bliver en vigtig tværgående organisatorisk vidensperson, da din opgaveportefølje er lige så bred som den er dyb.

Dine primære ansvarsområder 

  • Administrativ support for udvalgte sektioner og ledere
  • Praktisk økonomi (indkøbsordrer, varemodtagelse, rejseafregning)
  • Implementering af- og superbruger på administrative digitale værktøjer 
  • Eventkoordinering
  • Deltage i samarbejdsgrupper og netværk
  • Vedligehold og videreudvikling af interne arbejdsprocesser

Vi leder efter dig, som kan lide at have orden i penalhuset, arbejde struktureret og prioriteret, at være på forkant og derfor gerne selv opsøger de svar du mangler. Lige så vigtigt er det, at du er en god kollega med smittende godt humør, som har lyst til at dele viden og blive dygtigere i fællesskab med resten af os – som et hold. Derudover kan du nikke til:

Løn og ansættelsesvilkår
Løn- og ansættelsesvilkår i henhold til OAO-S-fællesoverenskomsten og organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og It-medarbejdere (HK/Stat) eller overenskomst for akademikere i staten eller anden gældende overenskomst. 

Stillingen er tidsbegrænset til 1 år. Ønsket tiltrædelse snarest muligt.

Dit arbejdssted bliver primært på DTU’s campus i Lyngby, men der kan også være arbejdsdage på DTU’s øvrige lokaliteter; Risø Campus og Ballerup Campus.

Med ca. 200 ansatte er Campus Service en af de største af DTU’s 8 teknisk administrative koncernstabe. Campus Service har til formål at udvikle, drive og vedligeholde DTU’s bygningsmasse, arealer og faciliteter, samt varetage indvendigt vedligehold og tilsyn med de derudover lejede DTU arealer og faciliteter. Part-time employees in Chip Design - DTU Compute

Help shape the future of chip design education through open-source technologies. 

Are you a technically curious student interested in digital design, open-source software, and educational innovation? The Edu4chip project (https://edu4chip.github.io/ ) is looking for part-time employees to support our mission of making chip design more accessible through open-source tools and reproducible workflows. This position offers a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge chip design environments while contributing to the development of educational resources and infrastructure.

The job
As a part-time employee in the Edu4chip project, your primary role will be to explore, evaluate, and support the use of open-source chip design tools in educational contexts. You will assist in building and documenting reproducible workflows, help integrate tools into teaching materials, and contribute to the overall usability and accessibility of the design environment for students and educators.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Exploring and testing open-source chip design tools
  • Supporting the development of reproducible and educational design workflows
  • Creating documentation, tutorials, and example projects for teaching purposes
  • Assisting in tool integration and setup for student use
  • Collaborating with researchers and educators to improve usability and accessibility

Experience with chip design
You meet the following requirements:

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in a relevant engineering program (e.g., electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of digital logic and computing systems
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting and with versioning control of code such as Git
  • Experience with chip design corresponding to one of DTU courses 02118 or 02205 or similar
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

It will additionally be a benefit if you have teaching experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, or the like, and if you have an interest in integrating technology and tools in educational activities.

What we offer in return
This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of digital design and semiconductor workflows while contributing to an educational initiative in a collaborative and supporting environment with other European universities. Working hours are flexible to meet your course schedule, and you will get the opportunity to directly impact courses taught at DTU. You will also get industry-relevant experience with all steps in designing a microchip.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as an AC bachelor.

The position is a part-time position with 10 hours/week and ends on 30 September 2027. Starting date is according to mutual agreement, and the workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.

Laborantpraktikant indenfor forskningsområdet for proteinkemi - DTU Kemi

DTU Kemi varetager undervisning og forskning inden for alle kemiens hovedområder. Instituttet bidrager aktivt til den internationale kemiske grundforskning, hvor sigtet er at videreudvikle kemiens metoder og begreber, og at forklare og afdække sammenhænge. Kemisk forskning går ofte på tværs af de traditionelle hovedområder og ofte med stærke relationer til naboområder som f.eks. biokemien.

Forskningsgruppen: Tværfaglig gruppe, hvis forskning er centreret omkring studier af kolesterol i biologiske systemer, her­under design af kolesterol bindende proteiner og studier af proteiner involveret i humane sygdomme.

Jobbet
Det forventes, at du har evnen og lysten til at arbejde inden for følgende områder:

Genteknologi: Fremstilling af kompetente celler, transformering i E.coli, plasmidoprensning, gelelektroforese og analyse af DNA-sekventeringsresultater.

 Fremstilling af kolesterol bindende proteiner: Dyrkning af bakterier i forbindelse med fremstilling af rekom­binante kolesterol bindende proteiner i heterologe værtssystemer, herunder fermen­tering i laboratorie­skala.

Oprensning og karakterisering af kolesterol bindende proteiner: Anvendelse af HPLC (ÄKTA) til oprensning af proteiner på præparative kromatografiske kolonner (bla. ionbytning, affinitet og gelfiltrering). Karakterisering ved hjælp af SDS-PAGE og UV-VIS spektrofotometri.

Anvendelse af biokemiske assays for at identificere molekyler som hæmmer interaktionen mellem kolesterol og kolesterol bindende proteiner:  metoden vil inkludere fluorescens baseret spektrofotometri.

Forefaldende laboratoriearbejde:  Fremstilling af reagenser, håndtering af kemikalieaffald, lagerstyring af forbrugsmaterialer. Deltagelse i, og klargøring af laboratorier til øvelseskurser for ingeniørstuderende.

PhD Position in AI-Guided Degradomics and Protease Systems Biology - DTU Bioengineering

Are you motivated by the potential of proteomics and AI to uncover hidden biology? Do you want to map the dark extracellular matrix proteome and degradome and reveal novel mechanisms of tissue repair? Join a collaborative PhD project at DTU Bioengineering focused on AI-guided degradomics and protease systems biology.

About the position
Extracellular proteases are critical regulators of extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling during wound healing. Yet, many proteolytic processes remain uncharacterized due to the complexity of the ECM and limitations in current detection strategies. Advances in mass spectrometry and machine learning now allow us to unravel this “dark proteome.” This position aims to use state-of-the-art AI-guided proteomics and systems biology approaches to map protease activity in pathological and regenerative wound healing scenarios.

The PhD project is part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network REMOD-HEALING, which aims to target extracellular matrix remodelling in cutaneous wounds to promote better healing. Using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and machine learning, this project will unravel proteolytic networks that drive pathological and regenerative wound healing. Under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Konstantinos Kalogeropoulos and Assoc. Prof. Erwin Schoof, the PhD candidate will join the Protease Systems Biology group embedded in the Cell Diversity Lab at DTU Bioengineering — a vibrant, multidisciplinary team working at the interface of proteomics, computational biology, and translational research.

Responsibilities and qualifications
You must be well organized, structured, self-driven, and enjoy interacting and collaborating with colleagues, including PhD students and postdocs. You are also expected to take part in the supervision of BSc and MSc students.

In the project you will:

  • Perform longitudinal proteomic and degradomic analyses of wound healing models and clinical samples.
  • Identify proteolytic cleavage sites and post-translational modifications using high-resolution mass spectrometry and AI-based de novo peptide sequencing.
  • Develop and apply machine learning models to predict protease activity and substrate specificity, integrating protein language models and structural data.
  • Build systems biology frameworks to characterize time-resolved protease network activity during tissue repair.
  • Validate identified biomarkers through targeted proteomics assays.
  • Publish results in high-impact journals and present findings at scientific conferences.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary training to build expertise in both computational and experimental approaches.

You must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related discipline. Applicants should not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to their recruitment date. 

You must have:

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in either computational biology (e.g., bioinformatics, machine learning) or experimental proteomics, with a strong willingness to learn the complementary skill set.
  • Experience in collaborative research environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and applying new skills.

It would further be beneficial if you have some of the following skills:

  • Hands-on experience with proteomics workflows and mass spectrometry-based data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of protein biochemistry and enzymology.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and protein language models.
  • Experience with programming (Python preferred) for bioinformatics or data science applications.
  • Exposure to degradomics methods or post-translational modification analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.

Participating in REMOD-HEALING offers doctoral candidates many unique opportunities, including: 

  • A 36-month project as Marie Skłodowska Curie trainee in one of the participating institutions with the objective of receiving a doctoral degree (PhD). 
  • State-of-the art, exciting research in an international consortium with highly integrated research projects. 
  • Expert training in basic and applied research, along with a thorough understanding of the process involved in transitioning from basic to pre-clinical research.
  • Research training periods in another consortium member's lab lasting from a few weeks up to three months, performed in a different EU country than the country where most of the project will take place. 
  • Training in both academic and industrial research environments.

PhD scholarship in simulations of fatigue life in additively manufactured Al-components exposed to corrosive environments due to AM process defects and microstructures - DTU Construct

DTU, Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, the Section for Manufacturing Engineering invites applications for a PhD position (3 years) on the topic of simulation of corrosion fatigue life in AlSi10Mg based on microstructural characterizations.

The project is part of a Villum Investigator grant titled “Microstructural engineering of additive manufactured metals - MicroAM” funded by the VILLUM FONDEN. The overall aim of the project is to introduce microstructural engineering to the field of additive manufacturing (AM) of metals. This is to set the stage for optimizing metals microstructures in-situ during the AM process as well as ex-situ during post-AM treatments and enable predictions of the microstructural evolution, and thus changes in properties, while AM components are in use.

More specifically, the PhD position will look towards connecting different advanced software tools (of multi-physics and data-based models) simulating the metal AM process & microstructure with experimental observations of fatigue and corrosion fatigue failure in AM samples. The goal is to establish causal pathways for understanding failure in AM components. The position will involve development of codes/models simulating the nucleation and propagation of stress corrosion cracking in samples under low cycle fatigue conditions, as well as models for linking the microstructure from the AM process to the fatigue behavior. The position will involve active collaboration with international research groups working on the simulation of corrosion of metal AM, as well as close interaction with the other PhDs/Postdocs and more senior scientists within the MicroAM project.

Responsibilities and qualifications
If you are you interested in numerical simulations of advanced manufacturing processes which involve several physical phenomena and subsequent cross-linking of these simulations over different length-scales as well as linking simulations and experiments, perhaps you are our new PhD student. 

The aim is to predict the impact of external cyclic loads (during real-life loading scenarios under aggressive conditions) on the porosity and microstructural evolution in additively manufactured metallic samples, by the development of advanced computational multiphysics models of stress corrosion cracking and coupling these with process-microstructure models (being developed within MicroAM project). Main focus will be on additively manufactured AlSiMg alloys. You will be responsible for the development, calibration and validation of the corresponding advanced multi-physics computational models. You will collaborate closely with a postdoctoral researcher responsible for in-situ fatigue testing under corrosive environments, and will participate in the 4D (x,y,z,time) analysis of the AM microstructure and crack formation/propagation phenomena. In addition to the direct project related research, you will have the opportunity to disseminate your research through publication of papers and presentations at international conferences.

You will work in close collaboration with a group of senior scientists, as well as Postdocs and PhDs all engaged in the Villum Investigator project MicroAM. A 3–6-month foreign stay at an international research group focusing on microstructural modelling of corrosion in AM parts will be part of the PhD project. 

You must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree. 

Demonstrated competence in programming with Python and working on Linux based platform is essential for this position. Further, we are looking for a doctoral candidate who meets the following requirements:

  • A background and strong interest in aluminum alloys, fatigue analysis, and numerical modelling is preferred. 
  • Experience with computer aided design and engineering (CAE, e.g., Abaqus, Ansys) software tools commonly used in additive manufacturing, structural design and related research (e.g., parametric design tools, finite element simulation tools, path planning and slicing tools, etc.).
  • Deep enthusiasm for conducting original research in an interdisciplinary and international team and strive for scientific excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Excellent communication abilities, social skills, and independent attitude paired with the ability to network and interact with relevant stakeholders.

We envision that:

  • You have an open mind and can think creatively in a computational and/or programming context.
  • You can participate in experimental investigations of stress corrosion cracking.
  • You are interested in combining your physics-based modelling skills with data-driven analysis of experimental observations (or vice versa).
  • You are eager to contribute to research on high international level, improve the ideas and test them by implementation.

Responsibilities and qualifications
This PhD project aims to build a next-generation catalyst informatics platform that integrates machine learning, text mining, image analysis, and data fusion to make sense of the enormous but scattered knowledge in research literature. By structuring and learning from heterogeneous data, you will create predictive models to guide the discovery of new catalysts. But more importantly, you will be part of a team pursuing a catalyst informatics platform that addresses key challenges in the field, such as poor selectivity and energy efficiency in power-2-x reactions. 

The project offers an excellent opportunity for work between data science and computational catalysis. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in data science, computational chemistry, and the Design of Experiments. You'll work with Professor Line Clemmensen & Assistant Professor Sneha Das (DTU Compute), both methodological experts in statistics and AI, and Associate Professor Alexander Bagger (DTU Physics), a domain expert in electrocatalysis. 

The successful candidate must have a MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related areas, as well as a general interest in AI/ML & catalysis for sustainable energy solutions. The candidate must display good communication skills in English, both written and spoken, be innovative and able to work both independently and in cross-disciplinary teams, as well as with international academic collaborators and industrial partners.

PhD Scholarships in 3D Bioprinting - DTU Health Tech

Are you interested in biomaterials science and cell biology?

The TMAT group at DTU Health Tech is offering PhD positions within 3D bioprinting. 

Human tissue models based on stem cells provide new means for studying human health and disease in the lab. These systems may ultimately reduce the cost of drug development and accelerate biomedical research.

Multi-material 3D printing has recently emerged as a powerful tool for fabricating tissues at scale. Beyond the lab, bioprinted tissues may also be applied directly in generative medicine and autologous surgical procedures. 

Across these applications areas, a central and critical challenge in bioprinting is the design of appropriate biomaterials to serve as synthetic matrices and scaffold for the tissues. 

You will be part of a diverse team of engineers, chemists and biologists that collaborate to achieve interdisciplinary goals within this area.

Responsibilities and qualifications
We are looking for a creative and ambitious aspiring researcher with a M.Sc. within chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, biomedical engineering, or similar. Prior experience with mammalian cell/tissue culture will be considerable advantage. 

Your primary responsibilities will be within several of the following areas:

  • Design, synthesis, formulation and characterization of new material (inks) for micro-extrusion 3D printing
  • 3D bioprinting of advanced in vitro tissue models and/or implantable tissues
  • Stem cell maintenance, differentiation and maturation
  • Tissue culture and characterization using molecular biology and histochemistry 

You must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree.

Approval and Enrolment  
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU. For information about our enrolment requirements and the general planning of the PhD study programme, please see DTU's rules for the PhD education .
