If you have a keen interest and documented experience in applying hydro-acoustics in marine research, this may be the perfect position for you.
You will join the Section for Marine Living Resources at DTU in Lyngby. The section includes about 50 scientific employees and students and focuses on interdisciplinary research improving our understanding of marine living resources and how they are assessed. It offers an internationally recognized and highly dynamic scientific environment.
The job
Your work will support research on the coupling between fish and shellfish behavior and optimal gear design, as well as fish spatial distribution and schooling.
The technical tasks will focus on acoustic measurements on both commercial and research vessels, processing of raw data and quantifying movement trajectories of marine specimen and emergent spatial distributions both in front of fishing gears and in relation to prey and predators.
The position includes collaboration with stakeholder organizations, commercial, fishers and Danish and international research institutions. We are looking for an innovative person with a strong technical profile and an interest in supporting marine research projects. You should have excellent skills in acquiring and handling acoustic data, a committed and positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team, as well as independently.
Our expectations of you
You will be responsible for planning and carrying out the technical aspects of commercial and scientific acoustic surveys to support the development and implementation of methods for incorporating fish and shellfish behavior in gear design and modelling interactions between individuals in a population dynamic context.
In the assessment of the candidates, particular consideration will be given to:
Experience with fisheries acoustics and movement ecology.
Experience with acoustic surveys on different platforms.
Experience with handling and analysis of large amounts of acoustic data using LSSS.
Good skills communicating in Danish or similar Scandinavian language will be an advantage.
As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in fish ecology or population modelling.

Vi søger en rolig, nærværende og relations stærk ledsager til en 54-årig kvinde med infantil autisme og epilepsi. Hun er velbehandlet og får sjældent anfald.
Borger bor på et længerevarende botilbud og har et ønske om igen at få flere oplevelser uden for hjemmet sammen med en tryg ledsager. Hun er god til at sætte ord på, hvad hun har lyst til, og holder blandt andet meget af ture til Tivoli og Bakken, koncerter, spa- og massageoplevelser samt hyggelige gåture, hvor der er tid til at nyde omgivelserne.
Hun har behov for rolige og forudsigelige rammer med begrænset stimuli. Det er derfor vigtigt, at du kan være nærværende uden behov for konstant dialog, skabe ro omkring samværet og følge borgerens initiativer og tempo.
Borger profiterer bedst af en kvindelig ledsager, da dette skaber de bedste forudsætninger for en tryg og tillidsfuld relation.
Arbejdsopgaver:
Formålet med indsatsen er at understøtte borgerens mulighed for at deltage i selvvalgte fritidsaktiviteter og fastholde et aktivt og meningsfuldt hverdagsliv.
Som ledsager bliver din vigtigste opgave at skabe en tryg relation og ledsage borgeren til de aktiviteter, hun ønsker at deltage i. Det er vigtigt, at du kan møde hende med ro, tålmodighed og en anerkendende pædagogisk tilgang, hvor du løbende reflekterer over din egen praksis og tilpasser din støtte til borgerens behov.
Som ledsager skal du kunne bevare roen, hvis borger bliver frustreret eller reagerer udadreagerende. Dette kan blandt andet ske, hvis hun oplever, at andre bestemmer over hende, eller hvis hun mødes med et hurtigt afslag eller et nej. Reaktionen kan eksempelvis komme til udtryk ved, at hun tager små genstande og kaster dem i gulvet. Derfor er det vigtigt, at du kan arbejde forebyggende, skabe tryghed gennem dialog og guide hende på en rolig, respektfuld og konfliktnedtrappende måde.
