Do you like working by firm and well-defined procedures, yet alert to interfere in the process when needed? Are you open-minded and enjoy working in a diverse and international team? And are you eager to be part of something new and meaningful?
The position will mainly be covering the operator position during the shift from 21.00- 07.15, so if you can say yes to the above, then you may be just the person we are looking for.

Nordic RCC – supporting security of supply and the green transition
Nordic RCC provides calculations and recommendations to the four Nordic Electricity Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Energinet, Fingrid, Statnett and Svenska Kraftnät. Key responsibilities for the operator role:
Participating in the 24/7 control center shift roster: mainly covering the night hours 21.00 - 07.15.
The shift starts in the control center relieving a colleague operator from the evening shift. When time allows, and the processes for the evening have finalized successfully, you have an opportunity to enter an adjacent resting facility. During the shift, when alerted, your responsibility is to enter the control center within minutes, intervening in the operational challenge faced. Next morning at 07.00 the morning operator will relieve you from your shift responsibility.
Become an expert in executing the services provided from the 24/7 Nordic RCC control center.
Maintaining your qualifications and knowledge in the operator control systems.
Interface to the Nordic TSOs control centers.
Cooperation with the TSOs securing the process of services.
Trouble shooting and fixing challenges in the services together with NRCC IT support.
Additionally, depending on the candidate:
Depending on the flexibility and the competence of the candidate, there will be an opportunity to be involved in other areas of responsibility in the department. This way one will get a better understanding of the NRCC in general, and to meet fellow NRCC colleagues during normal business hours.
Other working areas can be:
Involvement in testing of system updates and features to be introduced to the control center.
Quality assurance and updating operational procedures.
Quality assurance and data retrieval for operational reporting.
Provide analytical insights on operational planning scenarios.
You are open-minded, have an international mindset and excellence in working within structured patterns, at the same time the ability to maneuver within a huge spectrum of corner cases quickly, reliably, and independently.
You are also structured and can appreciate a fast-paced environment from time to time. On a personal level you are open-minded, team-oriented and take responsibility.
Nordic RCC is an international office, so fluency in spoken and written English is required as well as a motivation for working in an international environment.
What We Offer: A Flexible and Inclusive Workplace
Your daily workplace will be in the NRCC control center at the office premises in Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad.
You will join a team of young, diverse, and enthusiastic colleagues of currently more than 24 nationalities, and at times work in virtual teams with expert colleagues from the Nordic TSOs and potentially from all of Europe.
At Nordic RCC, we live by the values of fellowship, curiosity, respect, and transparency—values defined by our employees that shape how we collaborate and innovate. If you see yourself thriving in such an environment, we’d love to hear from you.
We are not looking for a specific educational background, but an engineering or similar technical or data-scientific background is preferred.
Whether you are in your bachelor’s program, or master’s degree program, that is not critically important. What is more important is your profile as a whole and how you are assessed to fit within the Nordic RCC organization.
