Production Worker - Nakskov (Day/night)

Would you like to help ensure a more sustainable future? Vestas is currently looking for unskilled workers with experience in production work. We are looking for someone who wants to help ensure quality and prioritize safety and well-being in the workplace.



Being hired as a production worker at Vestas is not just about experience, it's about motivation, curiosity, and interest in learning new things. Through thorough training and instruction, we will provide you with all the tools to become skilled at making wind turbines. The Nakskov factory produces blades for our offshore wind turbines; the factory is an epoxy workplace, so everyone must complete an epoxy course or have a certificate no older than 5 years.

This posting is for those who thrive on working 12-hour shifts, either day or night.

Responsibilities

  • Safety: At Vestas, safety is the first priority, which means you must prioritize your own and your colleagues' safety, both physically and mentally.


  • Quality: Our next priority is top-notch quality, so we expect you to take pride in producing a product that meets standards.


  • Production Plan: At Vestas, we also have some plans that need to be met to deliver on time. So, we expect an employee who is diligent and strives to meet deadlines without compromising safety or quality.




Qualifications

  • You are in good physical shape and accustomed to standing and walking throughout the workday.


  • It is advantageous if you have experience with 5S and Lean.


  • It is advantageous if you have experience with production work, but if you are willing to learn, we would like to hear from you.


Competencies

  • You are quality-conscious and focus on safety.


  • You contribute to creating a good atmosphere at work.


  • You don't mind changing tasks.


  • You have an interest in learning new things and are curious.

Production Manager

As our new Production Manager at the Nakskov blades factory, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence through strong leadership, structured execution, and a deep understanding of both people and processes. 

Department: Manufacturing > Nakskov Factory > Production Management 

Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you will lead a team of Group Leads and work closely with both blue-collar and white-collar stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are met. 

  • Manage and develop a team of Group Leads, fostering accountability and collaboration. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with factory goals and global standards. 

  • Collaborate across functions to support Tech Transfer, New Product Introduction (NPI), and process optimization. 

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between production teams and management. 

Qualifications: 

  • Engineering degree or similar technical education. 

  • Proven leadership experience in a global production environment. 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels. 

  • Experience working with both production- and office based teams. 

  • Fluent in Danish and English.

Training Manager

At Vestas, we believe that people are the foundation of operational excellence. As our new Training Manager at the Nakskov blades factory, you will play a key role in shaping a learning culture that supports continuous improvement, safety, and quality across our production environment.

Department: Vestas Technology & Operations> Manufacturing> Training

The Training department is entering a new phase, transitioning into an independent function within the factory. You will lead this transformation, establishing a robust training framework that supports both current and future production needs.

Requirements:

· Build and lead a dedicated training team, (including 1 coordinator and 12 Factory Instructors, while influencing ~90 Process Instructors across production.)

· Design, implement, and evaluate training programs that go beyond compliance, fostering real skill development and operational impact

· Maintain training documentation aligned with ISO 9001 and Vestas’ global standards, using our Learning Management System (LMS)

· Partner with stakeholders on Tech Transfer and New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure readiness and alignment

· Act as a trusted advisor to production leaders, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

· Relevant academic background (e.g. Cand. Psych., Learning & Change Processes, Pedagogical Psychology) or equivalent experience in education, manufacturing, or public institutions

· Proven experience in training, coaching, or organizational development within a production setting

· Familiarity with ISO 9001 and change management principles

· Fluency in Danish and English

Quality Role - Nakskov (Day/night)

Do you want to be part of the green transition and ensure that Vestas' largest blades are produced in the best quality? Do you dream of collaborating with good, talented people, developing yourself professionally and learning new things? Then you might be our next Quality Technician at Nakskov Factory 

Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO NCE > Production Quality The main scope of the Quality Department is both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in terms of creating and supporting in creation of procedures, policy, instructions, standards, records.  In other words, responsible for delivering a product meeting the specifications. Within the scope of the Quality Department, it is also the compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to the International Standards and resolution of customer concerns. In cooperation with the Quality Department and the support functions you must ensure that the quality controls are conducted according to the control plan, that non-conformities are identified and that appropriate corrective measures are taken, while keeping a secure and safe work environment. As Quality Technician, you will be responsible for a specific department (but support in others should also be expected).

We are looking for candidates for both day and night shift 12 hour shifts. 

Responsibilities

  • Update status on Daily Management Boards and communicate it to production
  • Operate as part of the Production Team, supporting Group Leads and Production Workers to achieve the right quality
  • Print out shop floor documentation and keep it updated (MCP, PII, PWI, QDA, TP, 1P)
  • Make sure quality data are collected (QDA, defect mapping) and  that quality tools are available and good to use on the shopfloor
  • Thermography and Ultrasound scanning and evaluation
  • Implement and follow green tagging procedure
  • Material testing (DSC, FVF)

Qualifications

  • You are reliable and thrive with changes, in a rapid moving organization
  • You are quality oriented and you are structured in your work
  • You work with ease across different cultures
  • Able to use Microsoft Office
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Highschool, technical education or similar is required (if no education, 3,5 year minimum of working experience in Vestas)
  • A vision test and a color blindness test is a prerequisite

Competencies:

  • Good communication skills in English preferably also Danish
  • You are quality focused and structured in your work
  • You enjoy working with many different people with different cultural backgrounds
