We are looking to employ a qualified and experienced IB MYP Danish Language Acquisition Teacher to join our Middle School’s Language Acquisition team. This is a part-time, 70% permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach intermediate and advanced-level Danish Language Acquisition to students in the IB Middle Years Programme.
Prepare Advanced students for the Danish FP9 exam
Develop and collaborate on curriculum planning with the Danish team.
Deliver lessons aligned with MYP objectives and practices.
Differentiating instruction and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students.
Plan and deliver engaging, reflective lessons that motivate and stimulate student learning.
Provide additional Danish language support as needed.
Participate in MYP curriculum planning and professional development.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive learning experiences.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Fluency in both Danish and English, with strong speaking and writing abilities in both languages.
Experience with the administration and organisation of the Danish FP9 exam is highly desirable
Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is preferable
Proven experience as a Head of Department is preferable
Proven experience in Language Acquisition teaching.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit a multicultural and multilingual environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Highly organized and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
A passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.

The International School of Hellerup is looking for flexible, caring, and reliable Substitute Teachers to join our After School Care Programme (ASCP). The ASCP team provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where students can relax, play, and grow after the school day. Substitutes are called in to cover staff absences and support daily activities with students in a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support students during ASCP hours, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Facilitate play-based and recreational activities that promote students’ social, emotional, and physical development.
Encourage cooperation, independence, and positive relationships among students.
Assist with transitions, outdoor play, and routines as part of the ASCP team.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with ASCP colleagues to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
Fluency in English (Danish is an advantage).
A warm, flexible, and student-centred approach.
Reliability and ability to adapt to changing situations.
Understanding of or interest in the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy.
Working Hours
Substitute positions are on-call and typically cover shifts Monday to Friday between 14:00–17:00, with extended hours on Fridays (13:00-17:00).
