For the offshore activities in FLC Marine, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Technical Superintendent for the vessels which is going to be involved in operation in the foreshore between Denmark and Germany.
Who is FLC?
Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the Northern Europe’s biggest construction project resulting in the longest immersed tunnel in the world. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects. Together, we are committed to working together to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals, and ramps, delivered on time and safely, in a sustainable and ethical manner.
The role of Vessel Technical Superintendent entails the technical management of vessels deployed on our project. Candidates must possess solid experience in various duties related to technical vessel management in offshore/marine contracting or the oil & gas industry. The role involves interaction with flag and class authorities, overseeing planned maintenance systems (PMS), and managing dockings and repairs afloat.
Main responsibilities (but not limited to):
Manage the technical aspects of vessels deployed on the project.
Liaise with flag and class authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversee planned maintenance systems (PMS) to ensure optimal vessel performance.
Coordinate dockings and repairs afloat to maintain vessel integrity and functionality.
Provide technical expertise and support to project teams as needed.
Qualifications / Experience:
Proven experience as a Technical Superintendent in offshore/marine contracting or the oil & gas industry.
Familiarity with flag and class requirements.
Proficiency in planned maintenance systems (PMS).
Experience with dockings and repairs afloat.
Preferred experience in heavy lift/lift-systems, dredging/winch systems, and mobilizations or conversions.
Knowledge of the maritime market in North-West Europe.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in heavy lift/lift-systems, dredging/winch systems, mobilizations or conversions, and familiarity with the maritime market in North-West Europe. Additionally, candidates must be prepared to work full-time onshore in Denmark for the project duration.

About FLC:
At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.
We are also building the facilities for prefabricating tunnel elements as well as accommodation facilities, also known as the “Tunnel village” in Rødbyhavn, which provides housing for FLC workers.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
To present Safety Toolbox to the team and to record it
To take care of safety on site for own teams and other personnel working in the area
To present the PRESTART Meeting and to record it
To pick up goods from the main store and check them against the purchase order; to store goods at the marine work area (protected when needed)
To carry out inventory of equipment inside storage containers
To organise operations on the construction site and in the basins with the team according to WMS and/or lifting plans
To organise timely inspection of rigging and mooring cables, shackles, and related equipment
To organise site housekeeping, waste disposal, and storage of hazardous products
To attend the pre-task briefing, pre-start meeting, and toolbox talks, and to work according to the discussed method elements
To assist the Harbor & Basin Supervisor during operation, float-up, transfer, and set-down of the Floating Gate
To assist the Harbor & Basin Supervisor during transfer of standard elements, immersion pontoon, and special elements from upper basin to lower basin, and from lower basin to harbour, including mooring operations in both areas
To execute lifting operations at the Ballast Concrete Jetty and on the STE to prepare elements for transport and installation
To clean the site after task execution and to participate in debriefing
To issue daily reports
Qualifications:
Experienced in having a supervising role during the execution of marine and or infra projects
Experienced in executing site logistics, lifting operations, marine operations
Supervise the works of sub-contractors
Conditions:

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Manage safety on site and report any incidents, near misses, or accidents.
Supervise safety on site for all your activities.
Supervise Safety and Quality Toolbox meetings and organize specific sessions when necessary.
Organize execution activities and resources (personnel and equipment) to meet project requirements.
Establish and monitor 6-month and 3-week look-ahead programmes in close coordination with the Project Control Team and the Basins Manager.
Participate in readiness reviews to ensure that all preconditions are fulfilled.
Conduct pre-task briefings before starting any new activity or task, and pre-start briefings (before each shift) to ensure workers are fully aware of construction methods, sequences, inherent risks, and mitigation measures.
Execute works in accordance with approved design documentation, work method statements, and inspection & test plans.
Raise awareness among personnel about risks related to their activities throughout the project by organizing pre-start meetings, QHSE talks, and behaviour-based safety sessions.
Ensure traceability of all controls, inspections, surveys, and lab testing. Raise a Non-Conformity Report (NCR) as soon as a non-conformity is identified and ensure that corrections are carried out efficiently. Liaise with the QC Team and Design & Engineering Team as appropriate.
Prepare equipment (winches, floating fenders, gangways, mooring) around basins for element transfers and all basin activities.
Inspect elements and marine outfitting before each operation (preparation for Go/No-Go).
Operate, float up, transfer, and set down the Floating Gate.
Transfer standard elements, immersion pontoons, and special elements from the upper basin to the lower basin and from the lower basin to the harbour, including mooring operations.
Execute preparation works for transport and immersion at the Ballast Concrete Jetty
Qualifications:
Experience in a leading role during the execution of marine and/or infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in planning, coordination, and communication within an execution team and larger project organization.
Ability to maintain an overview during execution in a work area with multiple simultaneous activities.
Broad interest in technology and marine operations.
Conditions:

Rotation: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off or full-time, 5 days per week.
