Institut for Matematik og Datalogi (IMADA) søger en sekretariatsleder til at lede instituttets administrative funktioner. Som sekretariatsleder vil du spille en central rolle i at skabe den nødvendige sammenhæng mellem instituttets overordnede strategiske retning for forskning og uddannelse og den understøttende administrative drift.
Om stillingen
Sekretariatslederstillingen er en nyoprettet funktion: IMADA har gennem de seneste år været i kraftig udvikling hvad angår størrelse, forskningshøjde og strategisk betydning. Dette medfører et behov for større differentiering af administrativ understøttelse og øget strategisk medspil.
Som sekretariatsleder bliver du ansvarlig for den daglige ledelse af instituttets administrative team, som varetager opgaver inden for HR, uddannelsesadministration, indkøb, økonomi-, support- og kontorfunktioner. Du skal derfor have et godt overblik og facilitere et tæt samarbejde mellem dit team og instituttets medarbejdere og ledelse. Du vil være en del af instituttets ledelsesteam, indgå i instituttets ledelsesgruppe og bidrage til et godt samspil mellem administrativ understøttelse og overordnede strategiske initiativer. Du vil samtidig bidrage til, at teamet løser opgaverne effektivt og med høj grad af serviceorientering samt at identificere og forme nye administrative opgaver, når de opstår. Du forventes at bidrage aktivt til teamets opgaveløsning ved at påtage dig konkrete administrative opgaver efter behov. Du vil have ledelsesansvar for instituttets administrative medarbejdere og vil referere til institutlederen som nærmeste leder.
Ansættelse forventes på chefkonsulentniveau med ledelsesansvar med start snarest muligt.

Stå i spidsen for en løbende udvikling af instituttets administration for at sikre høj servicekvalitet og effektiv understøttelse af instituttets aktiviteter, herunder tilpasning til skiftende behov.

Understøtte arbejdsgange inden for HR, rekruttering, uddannelsesadministration, indkøb og administration af kontorlokaler, samt være bindeled til fakultetet og centraladministrationen.
Være instituttets primære kontaktperson for andre afdelinger, eksterne partnere og leverandører i forhold til administrative, økonomiske, indkøbs- og lokalemæssige spørgsmål.
Koordinere ressourceallokering indenfor administrationen og bidrage til udvikling af effektive arbejdsgange.
Have et godt overblik over instituttets løbende økonomi og i samarbejde med institutledelsen bidrage til den langsigtede budgetlægning.
Bidrage til instituttets strategiske udvikling med særlig vægt på administrationens understøttende rolle for forskning og uddannelse.
Være sparringspartner for institutledelsen i alle spørgsmål af ikke-faglig karakter.

Om IMADA og SDU

BMB søger flere instruktorer til varetagelse af undervisning i holdtimer på uddannelserne i Biokemi og Molekylær Biologi; Biomedicin; Biomedicinsk Informatik; Farmaceut og Medicin med start fra 1. februar 2026.
For at komme i betragtning til stillingen skal du være indskrevet på mindst 2. år af en af nævnte uddannelser.
Som en del af forberedelsen til rollen deltager du i et introduktionskursus for instruktorer.
Antallet af arbejdstimer kan variere fra semester til semester, og der kan forekomme semestre uden undervisning. Før hvert semester modtager du en timeudmelding med oplysning om dine undervisningstimer – forudsat at der oprettes hold i faget, og at der er indgået en aftale mellem dig og instituttet.
BMB er en del af Syddansk Universitet og ligger placeret på Campus i Odense. Instituttet består af mere end 200 medarbejdere fordelt på fem forskningssektioner samt en sektion for administration og service.
På BMB tager vi afsæt i naturvidenskaben og undersøger, hvorledes celler fungerer på molekylært niveau. Vi forsker i de basale molekylære og biokemiske processer, der ligger til grund for cellers vækst og udvikling og for cellers samspil i raske organismer og under udvikling af sygdom.
Vores forskning bidrager til den vigtige basale forståelse af sygdomsudvikling, bl.a. inden for cancer, fedme, diabetes, aldersrelaterede sygdomme i nervesystemet samt livstruende bakterieinfektioner – viden, som danner grundlaget for udvikling af nye behandlingsmetoder. Dette arbejde sker i tæt samarbejde med læger og forskere på sygehusene eller i private virksomheder.
Instituttet har ca. 500 studerende fordelt på flere forskellige uddannelser. Vi uddanner bachelorer og kandidater i Biokemi og molekylær biologi, samt i Biomedicin, som er en uddannelse, der orienterer sig imod den kliniske forskning på sygehusene. Derudover uddanner vi kandidater i Biomedicinsk Informatik med indblik i computerbaserede metoder til håndtering og analyse af data, som anvendes inden for sundhedssektoren og i den farmaceutiske industri.

Project Description
We invite applications for a fully funded PhD position in experimental proteomics. The successful candidate will contribute to a fundamental research program exploring chemical and physical principles of negative ion mode LC-MS/MS-based peptide analysis. The project combines method development and mechanistic exploration with downstream applications in proteome characterization.
Proteomics today captures only half the story. By focusing almost exclusively on positively charged peptides, current approaches miss a large class of acidic biomolecules. This project challenges that paradigm and explores negative ion mode LC-MS/MS to reveal new molecular insights and enable broader biological discovery
This PhD position is part of a vibrant research environment involving other researchers working on closely related topics. You will be enrolled in the Protein Research Group (PRG) – known internationally for its contributions to proteomics and biological mass spectrometry – ensuring daily interaction, idea exchange, and collaboration across both wet-lab and computational projects.
Responsibilities
The PhD student will be expected to:
Plan and conduct LC-MS/MS-based proteomics experiments, primarily in negative ion mode
Investigate gas-phase peptide behavior and fragmentation
Characterize how physicochemical parameters influence ionization efficiency and detectability
Explore how different ion activation methods affect peptide fragmentation, including work with a next-generation multi-mode trap instrument supporting both collisional- and electron-based dissociation
Contribute to structured spectral annotation supporting advanced downstream data analysis (in collaboration with a dedicated postdoc)
Present research findings through peer-reviewed publications and international conferences
Complete PhD coursework (~30 ECTS) and contribute to teaching and dissemination activities.
Required Qualifications
MSc degree in proteomics, protein chemistry, analytical chemistry, or gas-phase chemistry
Documented hands-on experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomics
Proficiency in database searching and peptide identification
Familiarity with LC-MS/MS workflows, chromatographic methods, and sample preparation
Desirable Qualifications
Prior experience with negative ion mode MS is an advantage
Interest in computational proteomics workflows
Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, R) for data processing and visualization
Strong analytical mindset and ability to collaborate across disciplines

The team of Applied AI and Data Science (AID) invite motivated candidates with a strong track record in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science to apply for the position. Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to utilize and leverage the broad technical, clinical and industrial research and to support the long-term vision of Applied AI & Data Science (AID) team being a world-class center in the field of applied AI and data science. This follows the research strategy, which functions as the backbone in one of the first centers of its kind dedicated to working with AI across a large variety of applications. The research will be conducted both independently and in collaboration with colleagues at national and international levels. You ensure that your teaching maintains a high academic and didactic standard.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Develop, implement, and execute AI-focused projects in close collaborations with medical and industrial partners by bridging interests between research practices.
Conduct research at the highest scientific level, including publication in top international journals and conferences, and communicating your research in national and international academic networks.
Disseminate your research to the outside world.
Give technical input and support for ongoing projects and establish new collaborations.
Teach and supervise bachelor’s, master's and PhD degree students at SDU, and outreach activities targeted younger research candidates.
Contribute to fund raising efforts that take place at AID.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Danish is not a prerequisite for application. The hired candidate will be offered Danish courses by the university.

Conditions of employment
The targeted starting date for the position is 1 May 2026, or as soon as possible, thereafter.
The appointment as associate professor is permanent, and the appointment as a tenure track assistant professor is temporary and for an initial 4-year period, with guaranteed assessment for a permanent position as associate professor during the final year of employment.
Employment as assistant professor requires scientific qualifications at minimum PhD level at the time of employment. During employment, the assistant professor will complete the Lecturer Training Programme. Employment as an associate professor requires academic qualifications at PhD level as well as scientific and teaching qualifications commensurate with the position as an associate professor. Employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations for academics in the state with the associated circular on the protocol for the job structure for academic staff at Danish universities and the provisions for tenure track assistant professor or associate professor as described herein. With the tenure track programme at the Faculty of Engineering, SDU, we offer an attractive career opportunity for promising scholars. The tenure track is aimed at the most talented scholars who have established a high level in their current research and other professional work, and those who possess exceptional potential to achieve the highest international level within their research area.
You enter the 4-year programme at assistant professor level and if successful you are promoted to associate professor by the end of the programme, provided an expert assessment committee confirms that you have acquired the international level of scholarly excellence characteristic of associate professors. Indicators of relevant scholarly merits include documented through independent scholarly output, ground-breaking publications, achievement of excellence grants, and international research network.
The tenure track at the Faculty of Engineering, SDU, is a 4-year programme which includes annual performance and development reviews and a midterm evaluation with a written review by an expert panel to ensure the assistant professor’s track to tenured associate professorship. Finally, a formal academic assessment for permanent associate professorship is conducted by an internationally recognized expert assessment committee. A 20-month postdoc research position is available in the Software Engineering section at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Denmark. The successful candidate will contribute to the SECUREAM research project, focusing on enhancing cyber resilience solutions for digital Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes and workflows in close collaboration with leading industry experts. These solutions will be designed to meet the stringent security requirements for producing high-value, mission-critical components. Application deadline: November 24, 2025.
Introduction
The Software Engineering section at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Demark (SDU Odense Campus) invites applications for a 20-month full time postdoc position with the possibility of extension for the project SECUREAM: Advancing Cybersecurity in Additive Manufacturing in the intersection of blockchain, cryptography, software engineering, and applied formal methods, starting February 1, 2026 (the specific start date will be agreed with the successful candidate).
The SECUREAM project directly addresses the evolving cybersecurity challenges in AM by developing a comprehensive security framework through close collaboration between academic and industry experts. While the primary focus of the project is on enhancing cyber resilience across digital AM processes and workflows, the framework is also designed to be adaptable to the stringent requirements of high-value and mission-critical component production, where robust security and traceability are imperative. Its aim is to secure AM supply chains, safeguard data integrity and confidentiality, and support compliance with emerging regulations, thereby meeting the rising demand for certified, secure AM solutions.
What we expect
We seek candidates with expertise in blockchain and cryptographic technologies and/or applied formal methods to address critical security challenges in the AM domain. The research will focus on developing and scaling novel solutions to ensure end-to-end integrity, traceability, and confidentiality. The project aims to create a resilient AM workflow secure against threats from compromised system components. The successful candidate’s contributions will be to identify gaps in current technology, evaluate industry practices, and develop impactful security guidelines.
Key responsibilities of the postdoc include

SUBMISSION GUIDE
Motivated application shall be uploaded as ‘Cover letter’ (max. 5 MB), Curriculum Vitae shall be uploaded as ‘Resume’ (max 5 MB). All other documents shall be uploaded as ‘Miscellaneous documents’ (max 10 files of max 50 MB per file).
All documents must be in English and PDF format. CPR number (civil registration no.) must be crossed out. All PDF-files must be unlocked and allow binding and may not be password protected.

Assessment and selection process
Applications will be assessed by an assessment committee (Read about the Assessment and selection process). Shortlisting may be applied, and only shortlisted candidates will receive a written assessment (Read about shortlisting at SDU). Interviews, technical, and aptitude tests may be part of the selection process for final candidates.
Conditions of employment
Appointment as a postdoc is a temporary position for a 20-month period and the preferred starting date is from February 1, 2026.
Employment as a postdoc requires scientific qualifications at the PhD level at the time of appointment. Employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations for academics in the state with the associated circular on the protocol for the job structure for academic staff at Danish universities and the provisions for postdoc as described herein. Further information on salary and taxation. The person employed in the position may, based on a specific individual managerial evaluation, be exempted from time registration, also known as a “self-organizer”.
